The Future of Online Hairdressing Education

Its founder and chief educator, is multi award winning hairdresser and author of Elements Education book and video collection, Paul Davey, who separately co-owns the highly acclaimed Davey Davey hair salons and brand.

Paul’s vision for Hairdressing Live was to create an inclusive international online hairdressing academy to showcase and enlist the most talented, creative hairstylists which are consistently pushing our industry forward.

Hairdressing Live was the first online live hairdressing academy in the world when it first launched.

Its importance was to hone in on some of the more mature and experienced hair stylists who have changed the way we now look at the techniques and designs in our industry. Ultimately stylists who have challenged the status quo in order for the new progressive young stylist to take it forward.

Paul always wanted to achieve an inclusive online hairdressing academy, we pave a way to witness the growth of the new heavy weights who are making noise internationally in education, salon clients and creative session and business speakers.

The goal is underpinned with a vision to bring accessible hairdressing education at the price everyone can afford.

Paul has been inspired by many hairdressers that have been hidden, who focus in on mainstream editorial work, massive brand campaign work, celebrity etc. never to be seen in an educational environment and had the opportunity to see their creative process. His aim was to bring them forward to collaborate and showcase them in a masterclass setting. Our industry doesn’t move forward without the progression of the new stylist coming through the ranks. Paul’s focus was to also showcase the emerging talents throughout the industry who are making noise through social media, magazine editorials, campaigns, celebrities and winning awards.
