About Carolyn Newman
Carolyn Newman is a renowned colour expert with over 30 years’ experience, educating customers and hairdressers around the globe with her latest colouring techniques. Combining superb technical and creative skills to create the ultimate colourist. Known for her inspiring contemporary colour and enthusiastic presentation style, her passion is to always give a personalised and beautiful colour for every client.
She has extensive Colour & Education Director experience as well as creating her own education programs for all levels of hairdressers, from apprentices to management and artistic level. “I love the technical aspect of hair colouring, like being a scientist and being precise like the best baker with accurate measurements and then applying colour like an artist.” With this philosophy Carolyn uses every technique for all types of clients, photographically and in education courses, seminars and hair shows.
Carolyn’s previous experience working with Charles Worthington Salons for 25 years; covers the field of salon hairdresser, salon manager, operations, educator and colour director. Her refreshingly personal approach to colour, confident consultations combined with her expertise and understanding, teaches how to prescribe the perfect combination of colour and application techniques for a truly beautiful result.
She is now very excited about this next stage working as a freelance colourist and educator and passing on her colour knowledge, techniques, skills and experience to the worldwide hairdressing industry and next generation of talent through setting up Carolyn Newman Colour and Education Consultancy.
